Natural Lip Balm

Lip is a clearly visible human organ.  The skin of the lips is stratified squamous epithelium. The mucous membrane is represented by a large area in the sensory cortex, and is therefore highly sensitive. The lip skin is not hairy, and does not have sweat glands or sebaceous glands. Therefore, it does not have the usual protection layer of sweat and body oils, which keep the skin smooth, inhibit pathogens, and regulate warmth. For these reasons, the lips skin in the loss of water is easy, as long as the ambient humidity is slightly lower, the lips will soon feel dry. Therefore, lip balm is to provide an occlusive layer on the lip surface to seal moisture in lips and protect them from external exposure.

How to choose lip balm?

Foreign substances can easily be absorbed into the skin from the lips, addition with peripheral nerve and distribution of capillaries is very well distributed around the lip. We can obviously seen it with irritation and allergic by foreign substances. Therefore, the choice of lip balm must in strong with moisture, composition simple, and safe, less addition components is a basic requirement. How to make sure the composition are simple? No fragrance, no coloring, no chemical sunscreen ingredients and excessive plant extracts or essential oil components, is relatively safe. This is because we will wipe the lip balm many times in one day, in which the ingredients may penetrate the lips, or we eat into the belly, so the choice of lip balm must be careful.
